What are the prerequisites to use Alert2Trade with NinjaTrader?

  1. NinjaTrader 8 installed and running.
  2. A TradingView account with permission to create alerts.
  3. An Alert2Trade account with:
    • User ID
    • Latest Token
    • Hub URL (available in My Account).

Where can I download the plugin?

  1. The plugin is available in the Downloads section of your account: 👉 Download the plugin
  2. You will get a file like: TV2NT8-x.x.x.zip. ⚠️ Do not unzip the file.

How do I enable and configure the strategy in NinjaTrader?

  1. Open NinjaTrader.
  2. Go to Tools ▸ Import ▸ NinjaScript Add-On…
  3. Select the downloaded ZIP file.
  4. Confirm the import.
  5. Restart NinjaTrader if prompted.

How to setup account?

  1. In the Strategies tab, add TV2NT8 Strategy.
  2. Mark it as Enabled.
  3. In the Properties panel, fill in:
    • User ID (from your Alert2Trade account).
    • Token (latest GUID from your account).
    • Stop Loss (ticks) and Take Profit (ticks) (example: SL 20 / TP 40).
  4. Click OK to save.

How do I set up alerts in TradingView?

  1. Create an alert on your instrument (e.g., NQ1!).
  2. In the Message field, use:{
    "action": "{{strategy.order.action}}",
    "symbol": "NQ"
    }
  3. Enable Webhook URL and paste your Hub URL.
  4. Click Save.

What should I do if orders are not executed?

  1. Verify the strategy is Enabled and connected.
  2. Confirm your User ID and Token are correct.
  3. Make sure your data feed/broker is active (Live or Sim).
  4. Ensure the TradingView Webhook URL matches your Hub URL exactly.
  5. Create a small test alert in TradingView and check NinjaTrader logs.
